The Torfbær Suites offer an intimate stay for two guests, arranged in traditional turf roofed buildings with shared geothermal basalt stone hot pools. Warm interiors, reclaimed wood, and handcrafted furnishings create a cosy, chalet style atmosphere.

The larger Torfhús residences are ideal for families or small groups, featuring two bedrooms, spacious living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and private verandas. Each includes its own geothermally heated basalt stone hot pool, offering a secluded space to relax outdoors in all seasons.

For the most exclusive experience, the Torfvilla provides a fully private residence with four ensuite bedrooms, generous living and dining spaces, and a complete geothermal spa including a hot pool, cold plunge, and sauna, perfect for groups seeking both privacy and elevated comfort.

Dining at Torfhús Retreat takes place in a beautifully designed Viking inspired longhouse, where atmosphere and cuisine come together in a distinctly Icelandic setting.

Menus are centred around fresh, local ingredients, with much of the produce sourced from nearby farms, rivers, and coastal waters. Each evening, a changing chef’s menu showcases seasonal flavours with a creative, modern approach, while maintaining strong roots in Icelandic culinary traditions.
